Welsh Cathedral

2021 (United Kingdom)

One of the diciest explores I've been on - this tested the nerves, as it felt like what remained of the roof could fall on you at any moment! Once the tallest structure in this major UK city, the spire of this cathedral was 200ft tall. What remains today is a shell of the original building that was completed in 1867. The style is High Gothic Victorian.

It's difficult sometimes to convey the sizes of places and this is no exception. It feels especially big because of he vast space leading to the remaining ceilings. I've included a picture of the cathedral in its prime (with apologies for not knowing who to credit). It's a Grade II listed building but it is hard to see what you could do to safely restore it in any useful form.
