Tskaltubo Train Station
2020 (Georgia)
The train station in Tskaltubo is another unusual place - apparently a couple of trains do still pass through each day. Downstairs has been converted into a lovely & friendly Tourist Information office, where we were warmly greeted and given lots of tips. A nice touch is the decor - they have prints of the abandoned buildings from some acclaimed Urbex photographers.
Upstairs however has been left abandoned. It is a stunning design with huge windows and arches throughout, just like you would imagine in a grand train station. It's the sort of architecture that is sadly lost in such places now, so this was a real treat to see.
