Brighton Hippodrome (Part 2)

2021 (United Kingdom)

Part Two of my Brighton Hippodrome series focuses on the rooms behind the main arena & on the converted stage. The building was erected in 1897, initially as first an ice rink. When it finally launched as a variety theatre 5 years later under the Hippodrome name, it found success at last.

This place is one of the most majestic and beautiful buildings I've visited to date - the detail in the architecture is wonderful. The height and scale of the ceiling is monumental & the colour lifts the whole setting.
