Centrale Idroelettrica

An absolutely epic place! So much to see - the centrepiece is the turbine hall and control room built at the turn of the twentieth century. Nature is truly taking over in this site & you can hear the water from the mountain flowing beneath your feet.

Nearby on the same complex is a more modern turbine hall in mint condition - also just a doors width away from an active area! The oddest part of the site is a gigantic warehouse that acting as a storage facility. I couldn't work out what it was being stored - I'd heard people say film sets but it could just as easily be carnival rides and structures. Either way it was all a bit peculiar and one of the strangest places I have explored.
