An hours drive from capital city Tallinn, lies the abandoned submarine base in Hara. Surrounded by a beautiful national park, the day we arrived had snow covered trees along the route. The base was built in the 50's by Russian military & had the purpose of demagnetising submarines so they were less detectable to sonar. The main part of the structure is a whopping 400 metres in length!
