Flughafen Tempelhof

2019 (Germany)

Tempelhof Airport is the last abandoned airport to close in Berlin, ceasing it's operations in 2008. It's size and structure is mind blowing & is the biggest abandoned site in Europe. The former airfield has been converted into a public park and the building itself has been preserved and used for all sorts of events ranging from fashion shows to film sets. It's certainly photogenic & whilst I didn't have the ideal way to visit (the dreaded walking tour), it was a beautiful model for a couple of hours.
