Art Deco Power Plant (Control Area)

2019 (Hungary)

Some locations just speak for themselves. This Hungarian gem is famed for the oval shaped control room with a stunning Art Deco glass ceiling. It is a mesmerising sight & an absolute one off - a modern day power station would not be designed with such ornate detail. The building dates back to 1914 & the control room was an addition in 1927.

The room has featured in many films & television shows, so will feel oddly familiar to many people. One of the stranger features is the bomb shelter, as the plant was an obvious target during WWII. It's got a fascinating atmosphere & was one of my favourite explores to date.
